YOU HAVE QUESTIONS. WE HAVE ANSWERS!
Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is the Oshkosh Pedal Trolley?
It’s a 14-person, (mostly) pedal-powered, eco-friendly quadricycle! The bike/trolley has 10 pedal seats and 4 non-pedal seats. It’s perfect for bar tours, bachelor or bachelorette parties, company outings, morning workouts, sightseeing tours, etc. – the ideas are endless!
What are your rules and restrictions?
Simple! We ask all riders to show the same level of respect to our bike, your driver, and the city of Oshkosh as you would any other person or business. Individuals or groups exhibiting excessive intoxication, unsafe behavior or other inappropriate behavior will have their tour immediately terminated, without refund.
Is alcohol allowed?
Yes, but you have to follow the rules. Canned beverages only, up to three 12oz cans per person (36 oz total). City ordinance prohibits any type of liquor, wine, Jell-O shots, or glass containers on board. You are welcome to pack and bring a cooler on board. Please be advised, if you get overly intoxicated during the tour and become a nuisance, you will be asked to get off and the tour is non-refundable.
When should we arrive?
We ask that groups please arrive 15-20 minutes early. We suggest arriving early so you can sign your waiver (or fill out a digital waiver beforehand), get comfortable, choose your music, and take selfies.
Where do tours start and end?
We will pick up and drop off guests in the parking lot of 547 N Main St. We suggest meeting up with your group beforehand at Peabody’s Ale House, which is right across the street. The trolley will be parked in the lot (next to the Gibson Social Club).
Can we choose our own stops?
Yes! However, the pedal trolley operates on a city-approved route that we cannot deviate from. We have various stops we can make which means we will be in close proximity to most bars and restaurants downtown. If there are particular places you would like to know, please discuss that with your driver before your tour begins.
Is there music on the trolley?
Heck yeah! Bring your favorite playlist and connect to our sound system with Bluetooth.
Is it hard to pedal?
Not at all. While you do have to pedal to make the trolley move, the trolley is equipped with an electric assist motor to help you out. It’s a lot easier than it looks! 🙂
What is the age requirement?
The trolley is best fit for ages 16+. Minors must be supervised at all times when on the trolley.
What is the weight limit per passenger?
For safety reasons, each bicycle-style seat can support up to 300 lbs. If over 300 lbs, we kindly ask that you please sit only on the bench seat at the back of the trolley. The bench can seat up to two passengers.
Can we smoke on the trolley?
No. The Oshkosh Pedal Trolley is family friendly and City Ordinance guidelines prohibit smoking on the trolley.
Should we tip our driver?
We strongly encourage tipping. Our drivers work hard to provide a fun and safe experience for you and your group. If your group enjoyed the ride, then please consider tipping $5-10 per person.
What is the minimum group size for a tour?
All of our tours require a minimum of 6 guests to run. If we don’t meet the minimum we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the tour.
What if it rains or we have bad weather?
We ride rain or shine! Although.. we cancel if there is lightning or other severe weather. If we have to cancel the reservation based on severe weather conditions, you will receive a 100% refund or the opportunity to re-book for another date.
Please dress appropriately for weather conditions. Weather cancellations are not made until right before your reservation’s scheduled start time, as weather can be unpredictable in Wisconsin.
What is the cancellation policy?
Guests may reschedule their booked tour (if at least 14 days prior to the scheduled tour date) to another available date in the current season. If less than 14 days prior to the scheduled tour date, no refunds or reschedules are permitted.
Refunds on the day are not given unless Oshkosh Pedal Trolley cancels a tour due to weather that is deemed unsafe (that does not include moderate wind or heavy rain). We do our best to work with every group around cancellations. However, no-shows, last-minute re-scheduling, and/or cancellations may be subject to cancellation or re-booking fees.
If I booked a Private Tour but didn't fill all the seats, can I be refunded for the unused seats?
Unfortunately, no, the unused seats cannot be refunded. As a Private Tour, the entire trolley is reserved for your group only. If the seats were open (i.e., Public Tour), they could have been booked by others. Private Tour groups can accomodate a max of 14 guests. However, if you are in the cancellation timeframe, you can cancel and re-book as a Public Tour. If that is in consideration, shoot us an email or give us a call and we will help adjust your reservation.
Can I buy a gift certificate?
Of course! This is a perfect gift for a birthday, anniversary, graduation and so much more! Click here to gift the Oshkosh Pedal Trolley.
